Terms of Use
LeanLife is a personal savings and household-organization app. It is not medical advice, not a pharmacy, not a bank, and not a bill-pay service. Auto-renewable subscription terms required by Apple and Google are in Section 5.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using LeanLife, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country).
2. The service
LeanLife may include:
- FreshTrack — pantry, expiry reminders, receipt/barcode scan, meal ideas.
- SubScan — optional Plaid bank link after you subscribe (not during the 7-day trial). We may read up to 24 months of transactions to categorize spending, detect recurring and duplicate charges, and show a spending snapshot. “Cancel” in SubScan only marks a charge inside LeanLife; it does not cancel the merchant.
- MedMind — medication and supplement inventory, refill reminders, and pharmacy price comparison. Not a medical device.
- PriceIQ — nearby fuel prices from a ZIP you enter (not GPS).
- MoneyMap — household ledger fed by FreshTrack, SubScan, MedMind, and PriceIQ. Monthly Waste Report of estimated recovered dollars this month, plus still-on-the-table opportunities from SubScan and PriceIQ. Potential is never added into recovered totals.

Features, savings estimates, meal ideas, and price quotes are informational. We do not guarantee that you will save any particular amount (including any “average family” marketing figure).
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for the email and password on the account and for activity under it.
- Provide accurate information. Do not impersonate others or share an account if it would expose someone else’s financial or health information without permission.
- To delete an account, email support@leanlifeapp.com from the address on the account with subject “Account Deletion Request”.
4. Bank linking (Plaid)
Bank connection is optional and is not included in the 7-day trial. If you connect after you subscribe, you authorize LeanLife to use Plaid to retrieve up to 24 months of transaction data as described in the Privacy Policy and in Plaid’s end-user terms. We do not see your bank password. We do not initiate payments, transfers, or ACH. You can ask us to disconnect a Plaid item. We keep a paid subscriber's bank item for 1 week after the subscription ends, then disconnect it so the connection does not keep billing. Outages or institution login changes at the bank or Plaid are outside our control.
5. Subscriptions, trial, and billing
New accounts include a 7-day free trial of LeanLife Premium except bank linking in SubScan, which starts after you subscribe. After the trial — or if a paid subscription lapses — modules stay locked on that account until you subscribe or restore. Pantry, medications, and reports are kept for 2 months after access ends. Linked banks stay connected for 1 week after a paid plan ends, then disconnect. After 2 months, remaining household records are deleted.
- Plans currently sold: LeanLife Premium monthly, $5.99 USD per month, product id
leanlife_premium_monthly; and LeanLife Premium annual, $59.99 USD per year, product idleanlife_premium_annual(or the local equivalent shown by Apple or Google). - Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, or after the trial if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends (Apple) / according to Google Play’s trial rules.
- The subscription auto-renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The renewal cost is the then-current subscription price.
- Manage or cancel in Apple Settings → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Tapping Cancel on a SubScan merchant does not cancel LeanLife billing.
- Restore Purchases is available on the paywall for the Apple ID or Google account that originally subscribed.
If you originally subscribed through the App Store, Apple’s terms also apply: Apple Standard EULA (or these Terms if we designate them as the custom EULA in App Store Connect).
6. MedMind and health disclaimer
MedMind tracks names, quantities, refill dates, and prices that you enter or scan. It does not verify prescriptions, check interactions, or replace a label, clinician, or pharmacist. LeanLife is not intended for diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of disease. Always follow your prescriber and the pharmacy label. If you have a medical emergency, call emergency services.
7. Acceptable use
Do not: reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law; probe other users’ data; abuse APIs; upload unlawful content; or use LeanLife to provide clinical care or regulated financial advice to others as a professional service without your own licenses.
8. Intellectual property
LeanLife, the LL mark, and the product names FreshTrack, SubScan, MedMind, PriceIQ, and MoneyMap are ours. Third-party names (Plaid, GoodRx, GasBuddy, Apple, Google, and others) belong to their owners.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Meal ideas, OCR, recurring-charge detection, spending snapshots, gas prices, and pharmacy quotes can be wrong or incomplete.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEANLIFE AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST SAVINGS, SPOILED FOOD, MISSED REFILLS, FAILED CANCELLATIONS WITH MERCHANTS, OR BANK-RELATED DISPUTES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR LEANLIFE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE PLACES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify LeanLife against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms by posting a new version. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create security or legal risk. You may stop using LeanLife at any time and cancel the store subscription as in Section 5.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [US state — fill in before launch], excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory consumer law in your home jurisdiction says otherwise.
